INFORMATION FOR SWIMMERS &
GUIDELINES FOR PARTICIPATION

Registration and Sponsorship forms are due on or before June 28, 2008.

Swimmers affiliated with an MCSL team wil turn in all forms directly to their designated team "Heartsong Representative".

Independent swimmers can either mail their forms to :

COLLECTING SPONSORS FOR YOUR SWIM:
Print sponsorship form from link (print multiple copies as needed).

The Target Sponsorship Goal for each swimmer is $50, but no registered swimmer will be turned away if they have collected less.

Each swimmer is responsible for obtaining & collecting his/her own sponsorships funds.

Sponsorship form(s) and collected funds are to be turned in ON OR BEFORE JUNE 28, 2008.

All funds collected directly by swimmers should be in cash or checks payable to Mattie J.T. Stepanek King Farm Park Foundation.  SWIMMERS SHOULD COLLECT FULL AMOUNT OF DONATION AS THEY COLLECT SPONSOR NAMES.

Consider e-mailing your friends & relatives about sponsoring your swim – they can donate long distance via online payment options (link to sponsor-a-swimmer but pay online option).  They will be able to assign their online or “mail-in” donation to a specific swimmer so it will be credited to your total.

GENERAL HEARTSONG SWIM GUIDELINES & INFO
Swimmers should arrive between 7:00 and 7:30 a.m. for registration and lane assignment.

An adult must accompany swimmers under age 18 and remain on pool deck for the duration of the Heartsong Swim!  Swimmers of all ages are welcome, but swimming aptitude and safety should be a consideration as you decide whether or not to participate in this 2-hour event.

Food & drink will be provided for swimmers & volunteers.  The City of Rockville will kindly allow the use of the recreational water slide & play area for approximately ½ hour after the Heartsong Swim for swimmers, volunteers, and any cheering sections they've brought along.

PRIZES
Each swimmer entering with at least $20 in sponsorship will receive a commemorative swim cap for the Heartsong Swim and one raffle ticket for gift drawings after the event for a variety of items kindly donated by area businesses. 

Each swimmer entering with the Target Sponsorship Amount of $50 will receive both a commemorative swim cap and t-shirt.  Additional rewards for participants are as follows:

For each $50 collected, swimmers will receive an additional raffle ticket.

Any swimmer collecting $500 will receive a full set of Mattie’s poetry books

Any swimmer collecting $750 will have their name & MCSL team name (if applicable) recorded on a brick in the Mattie J.T. Stepanek Park.
